How To Harness Google Images To Pull Thousands To Your Hub Or Blog!

Especially in the last few months I've noticed that some of my 1500+ Hubs are tending to do much better than others. As I continue my in-depth analysis of the sacred spilled entrails of Goatoogle (just call me Mithraic Pontiff Hal) in order to derive a formula that will allow all Hubbers to triumph in the Googlestakes, a particular factor seems to have creeped into my Hub results. There are some Hub series which are drawing well over 10,000 page views originating from... Google Image Searches!

As you should know unless you've been hiding out in the forests of Mindanao since World War II, all of the major search engines including Google and Bing (the only two that really matter anyway) have a form of searching which is specifically for images only. You type into the search box that you want to see images of transvestite rats, and now you have literally thousands of images of cross dressing rodents to choose from.

Ah, the wonders of modern technology: We have advanced the science of instantaneous information retrieval and use it to check out tranny mice. But, I digress...

Since HubPages' marvelous statistical feature allows any Hubber to review and chart where most of the traffic is coming from on an ongoing basis, I have been able to deduce that some of my Hubs tend to have a serious spike in the images.google.x, x being .com, .ca, .fr, .de, and so on, depending on where that click originated.

However, the turning point to my taking images.google.x seriously was the other day when I was scanning through Google News and saw something very familiar. Top News United States had not only stolen my own Photoshopped image of the H1N1 biohazard, but it was showing up on the side of the H1N1 news on Google and stayed there for two full days!

Unfortunately any clicks on my image there will not lead to HubPages but to Top News, so I don't get any page views from being on Google News for two days, but the point is that Top News did click on my page (in order to rip off my image) and they were not alone. The number of people who have clicked to see just that image in my series of H1N1 Hubs is well into five figures.

OK, so I'm a Photoshop Deity, but that's not the point. The point is that the individuals who went to Google Image Search to find H1N1 images hit on mine and ended up at my Hub. Maybe they didn't read the Hub. Maybe they can't read. That's also not the point. A page view is a page view is a page view.

So... what have we learned, Dorothy? I've written erudite and may I say brilliant socio-political Hubs that by all legitimate expectation should have changed the world and had the 7 billion people on this planet unanimously elect me Philosopher-King Of The World For Life: They didn't draw flies. I've also written mercenary mercantile Hubs on Wholesale Flip Flops which skyrocket in page views and clicks. I know... I'm shaking my head too.

So... the writing of the words of a Hub is only part of the battle. There is a completely different way to draw those flies into your web: A striking and original image! No, you can't just rip one off the web, slap it into your photo capsule and expect that since you have built it, they will come. It doesn't work that way. In the vast majority of cases, the original image will rank much higher than your steal ever will, and you'll see nothing in the way of clicks.
