President Obama's "special adviser" Van Jones has finally joined the scrap heap of history where all of the flotsam and jetsam of his aberrant, perverted, indefensible pseudo-ideology belong. The outing of this (red)-dyed in the wool communist has been the subject of thousands of media reports in the last couple of days, so I don't need to reiterate it here.
Let it suffice to say that after a dream-like gestation period of nine months, Mama America has finally realized that the baby she was so proud of happens to have a hammer and sickle on its forehead (although the jury is still out on the 666) and thus needs to be placed into an asylum where it can no longer hurt anyone.
One duck down, now let's move the political rifle sight onto the next duck. (Note "political"... I have never advocated violence against communists, just their legal removal from office.)
Mark Lloyd is Obama's new Associate General Counsel and Chief Diversity Officer of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), a Van Jones brother in arms who has gone on the public record as praising the Chavez Venezuela revolution as "incredible" and "dramatic", as well as supporting the crackpot dictator's crackdown on the media which has seen RCTV, Latin America's oldest and most respected television network, as well as countless other broadcasters shut down due to their opposition to his lunatic revolution. This totalitarian policy has been called a criminalization of journalism by the U.S. National Press Club.
Hmm... rather interesting viewpoint for a man Obama placed in that the position of ensuring the FCC enforces media "diversity and fairness" and who likely experiences titillating sexual fantasies of having Fox News end up like RCTV.

Oh, and did I mention that Mr. Lloyd publicly praised and defended the personal politics of actor Paul Robeson, who delivered a tribute to Stalin entitled "To You Beloved Comrade" featuring the profoundly pro-American-motherhood-&-apple-pie (!!!) statement "Glory To Stalin"? ... And was even rewarded by Stalin with a "Peace Prize" a year later?
Stalin? Friggin' Stalin? The moustachioed criminal dictator who sent millions of his own people to die in Gulags if they even whispered their opposition to his Communist regime?

Hey, don't get me wrong... Paul Robeson sang "Ol' Man River" better than anyone before or since. But we're not discussing his vocal range, we're talking about a man who was a member of the Communist Party, was listed on the FBI's security index as a threat to US national security due to his espionage activities, and who was a glowing associate of a particular writer who referred to him as "The Great One."
That writer happened to be Frank Marshall Davis. Yeah, that Davis. The one that Barack Hussein Obama refers to as "Frank" and with whom the young Obama "had a close relationship, almost like a son".

I do not believe that any proud loyal American of any race at any time during the history of the nation would support sedition and insurrection in fraternizing with and glorifying an enemy nation dedicated to the destruction of the United States of America. maven101: You're absolutely correct in that the "reasons" for his resignation have been covered almost exclusively on Fox News, but thousands of news reports currently on Google News do refer to those accusations albeit in a circuitous manner. As to the major media ignoring Jones' communist statements I am not at all surprised given the green light the media has been bestowing on its Marxist darling Obama since day one.
Paraglider: The FBI and CIA were empowered during the Fifties to seek out Communists wherever they could be found in American Society. (A role that they should re-explore but I digress.) Persecution of a proven communist spy is not persecution at all but law enforcement, and the agencies were performing their due diligence in protecting national security. I completely support the actions of the CIA against communists of all stripes during the Fifties in all those cases where there was clear evidence that the individuals targeted were indeed functioning communists. That includes Robeson and Obama's buddy Davis.
Paul Robeson was a great American--All American football player, lawyer, Broadway actor, concert singer, civil rights activist. His contributions to this country were memorialized by the issuance of a first class U.S. postage stamp several years ago.
Although he was hounded by J.Edgar Hoover and McCarthy I don't believe it was ever established that Robeson was a member of the Communist Party. If he was, so what? During the 1930s and 1940s when Soviet Russia was our ally many good Americans held socialist views including neocon founders Irving Kristol and Norman Podhoretz.
